October 2026: The Three-Game Gauntlet
Three heavy hitters, eighteen days. Your October release calendar, all in one place.
October isn't a release month, it's a gauntlet. Three major launches in eighteen days, and your backlog doesn't stand a chance. Here's the calendar:
Tuesday, October 6 — Gears of War: E-Day (Xbox Series X|S, PC). The Emergence Day prequel, day one on Game Pass. Out now.
Tuesday, October 13 — Planet Zoo 2 (PC, Xbox Series X|S, PS5). Aviaries, aquariums, and wildlife reserves, all at once.
Friday, October 23 — Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 (PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Switch 2). The reboot saga's finale, and the only one of the three NOT on Game Pass day one.
That's the month. Pace yourselves, hydrate, and we'll see you on the episode where we argue about which one ate our free time.
