S-GAME's wuxia action game launches October 29 on PlayStation 5 and PC, carrying more than 3 million wishlists and pre-order estimates in the hundreds of thousands on Steam alone.

Phantom Blade Zero launches on October 29 for PlayStation 5 and PC, via Steam and the Epic Games Store. No Xbox version has been announced. Developer S-GAME confirmed in September that the game had passed 3 million wishlists across all platforms, with more than half of that demand coming from outside China.

The date itself is the second one the game has carried. A release date of September 9, 2026 was announced at The Game Awards in December 2025; in June 2026, S-GAME moved the launch to October 29, saying the extra time would go toward improving the game's quality. Development was completed on August 6.

Pre-orders opened on August 11, priced at $59.99 for the standard edition and $69.99 for the Digital Deluxe Edition. The game reached No. 1 on Steam's sales chart within a day of pre-orders opening. Analytics firm Alinea Analytics estimates roughly 400,000 Steam pre-orders, worth about $23.9 million in gross revenue ahead of launch; those figures are estimates, not numbers reported by S-GAME.

Phantom Blade Zero is a wuxia action game built around Soul, an assassin with 66 days left to live. It features more than 30 primary weapons, and martial-arts star Donnie Yen has served as a creative consultant since 2023, also providing facial and motion capture for a character. Closed press previews ran in September, and hands-on coverage following the October 9 embargo lift was broadly positive.
